Shruti Haasan walked the Cannes red carpet in a black ensemble; and it’s making us miss Deepika’s sultry, plum outfit.
If you think it is just Deepika Padukone who has represented India’s finesse at the Cannes Film Festival–then we present to you, Shruti Haasan.
While Deepika’s flawless style quotient at the French Riviera has caused ripples in our hearts, Shruti Haasan’s red carpet debut fell flat on its face.
The lovely actor donned a Avaro Figlio black, ruffled number, which honestly, was a little too regular for the magnificent event. Shruti’s dull, ordinary outfit was overshadowed by the brilliant ensembles the red carpet saw.
Add to that, a messy hairdo gone wrong, and you get Shruti Haasan’s unflattering ensemble with a pinch of disaster.
Shruti, who was at Cannes for the screening of her movie, Sangamithra, teamed up the sombre outfit with a pair of studded, silver Christian Louboutin pumps, which was probably the most peppy element of the melancholic look.
Since the look was nothing but grey for the vibrant affair, we’d recommend Shruti to add some colours to her life–and return to the red carpet in a fiery avatar.
Shruti Haasan has certainly disappointed us with her gloomy ensemble, but what keeps us hopeful is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s first look at Cannes which will unfold in its own sweet time.
